What extensions for which cloud service?
There are a lot of cloud services out there and the generic package to support them is
This issue is here to ask orientation on what needs to be included and what doesn't.
We may create a
-cloud image with that and any other package among the following:
cloud-init/stable 0.7.6~bzr976-2 all initialization system for infrastructure cloud instances cloud-initramfs-dyn-netconf/stable,testing 0.18.debian5 all write a network interface file in /run for BOOTIF cloud-initramfs-growroot/stable,testing 0.18.debian5 all automatically resize the root partition on first boot cloud-initramfs-rescuevol/stable,testing 0.18.debian5 all boot off a rescue volume rather than root filesystem
and/or one specific for our friends at Opennebula using one-context package.
Anyone has insights what goes with what?
- does ONE works better with its own one-context and is worth having a separate qcow2 then?
- is it handy to have also a cloud-init image, is that enough for openstack?
growrootuseful everywhere and should always be included?
Help on figuring out a sane scheme for distributed images is very welcome.
